Your PNR number can be found in multiple places:
- Printed Ticket: Top-left corner, labelled "PNR No."
- e-Ticket PDF: At the very top of the ticket
- IRCTC SMS: The first line of the confirmation SMS
- IRCTC Email: Subject line and body of the booking email
- IRCTC App: "Booked Tickets" section
- Counter ticket: Stamped at the top in red ink
The PNR is always exactly 10 digits. The first digit indicates the railway zone where the booking was made.
