Where can I find my 10-digit PNR number?

Your PNR is on the train ticket (top-left), in the IRCTC booking SMS, in your IRCTC email receipt, and in the IRCTC mobile app under 'Booked Tickets'. It is always exactly 10 digits and starts with the zone code.

Your PNR number can be found in multiple places:

  • Printed Ticket: Top-left corner, labelled "PNR No."
  • e-Ticket PDF: At the very top of the ticket
  • IRCTC SMS: The first line of the confirmation SMS
  • IRCTC Email: Subject line and body of the booking email
  • IRCTC App: "Booked Tickets" section
  • Counter ticket: Stamped at the top in red ink

The PNR is always exactly 10 digits. The first digit indicates the railway zone where the booking was made.
