Difference between 1A, 2A, 3A and Sleeper class

1A: AC First Class with private cabins, premium service. 2A: AC 2-Tier with curtains, 4 berths per bay. 3A: AC 3-Tier with 6 berths per bay. SL: Sleeper (non-AC) with 6 berths per bay, fan + windows.

CC — Chair Car (day trains)

  • Reclining AC chairs, 5-across

EC — Executive Chair Car (Shatabdi, Vande Bharat)

  • 4-across recliner, premium meals
