How to find a train's stoppage list?

On NTES or IRCTC, search by train number — the route page shows all halts with arrival/departure timings, distance, and platform number. Each train has between 0 (Duronto) and 50+ (Mail) halts.

Stoppage list = full schedule of where the train stops.

Where to check:

  • NTES → Train Schedule
  • IRCTC → Train Search → Route
  • Third-party rail-info sites

Information shown per stop:

  • Station name & code
  • Distance from origin
  • Scheduled arrival
  • Scheduled departure
  • Halt duration (minutes)
  • Day of journey (Day 1, Day 2 — for long-distance)
  • Platform number (at large stations)

Halt types:

  • Technical halts (locomotive change, water): ~5-10 min
  • Major halts (boarding/de-boarding): 5-30 min
  • Pass-through (no halt): not in list

Duronto trains have minimal halts (technical only); express/mail trains have many.
