Online name modification: not supported.
What can be done:
Spelling corrections (minor):
- Visit booking station's reservation office.
- Submit ID proof and request.
- Free correction usually allowed.
Major name change (different person):
- Not allowed under normal rules.
- Only allowed for immediate family transfer (see Transfer Ticket FAQ).
- Otherwise: cancel and rebook.
Age modification:
- Online: not possible.
- Reservation office: allowed with age proof.
Address / contact:
- Updated in IRCTC profile, applies to future bookings only.
Always double-check passenger details before paying — most issues come from typos at booking time.
