2. Decide based on delay:
< 1 hour: Continue waiting, plan accordingly.
1-3 hours: Inform pickup contact. Stay near a charging point.
3+ hours: You can:
- Cancel and file TDR for full refund (file within 24 hours)
- Continue travel (may use station amenities)
6+ hours:
- Free meal at certain stations (Tea / Refreshments) — ask Station Master
- File TDR if not travelling
Train cancelled by railways:
- Full refund (no charge)
- File via IRCTC "My Transactions → File TDR" — process is simple
